The Master Mutual Aid Agreement establishes a formal structure in which each jurisdiction retains control over its own institutions, staff and resources, but can also maintain or support other jurisdictions within the state. The operating sector has received requests for resources from outside its borders, with the exception of resources used for normal day-to-day operations that will be obtained through existing agreements for the exchange or supply of certain types of facilities and services on a refundable, interchangeable or other basis, in accordance with the Master Mutual Aid Agreement.
